At the same time, they are particularly rich in proanthocyanidins, flavonoids, flavonols, ellagic acid, chlorogenic acid, quercetin, myricetin and other substances, which as a whole are compounds with an antioxidant effect up to five times stronger than that of vitamins C and E. Also, they have a proven anti-cancer effect, as they contain kecidic acid, which prevents DNA damage and blocks the growth of tumors. At the same time, research has shown that it contributes to the fight against cancer cells before and after the onset of the disease, while it may also prevent metastases. At the same time, cranberry consumption reduces “bad” cholesterol and fights chronic inflammation that has been associated with the development of arterial plaque, preventing the occurrence of cardiovascular diseases.
